Great jacket, resistant, superlight and cool design,
I am a fan of Marmot products – well thought out, attention to design, no compromises on quality, and this one is up to par with their excellent offering. Protective shoulder and waist pads prevent packpack wear. Long zippers below the armpits ensure effective ventilation – I also wear the jacket on long rainy runs. The hood is well conceived – very protective, resists to high wind. On a personal note, being Italian, I confess paying attention to the good look of gear I buy, beyond its mere functionality, often pay a little more for it and get teased for it by my (thankfully) more spendthrift wife. This jacket looked and felt right the moment I slipped it on, and I was pleased that my wife spontaneously concurred. I enjoy wearing it beyond the trail, as well.
